Recycling

The photograph has a very meaningful message to recycle and it's very easy to comprehend at a first glance.

The blacks, whites, and shades of grey in between provide a nice contrast that isn't too distracting. It's especially helpful in leading to the centerpiece of the image (the recycling symbol). Because the recycling symbol is green, it pops out against the colorless background and becomes really easy to see. Plus, it's very appropriate given the message you're trying to convey. The shadows also add a really nice touch, and (to me, at least) it gives a rather nice ambience to the environment.

What I might suggest is maybe removing the mole on the lower half of the arm, as it is a little bit distracting. Also, maybe the fingers could be completely straight or balled into a fist as an alternative. Straightening the fingers may seem like a guesture of an open palm inviting / welcoming another person to come join in, and a fist may help emphasize the power and might needed to recycle.
